Announcing the winners of the WACA Community Awards 2024!

After a fantastic evening, we would like to thank the nominees and celebrate the winners of our awards!

WACA would like to say a huge congratulations to all our nominees for all of their contributions to our community! Your efforts and dedication do not go un-noticed!


We are proud to announce the winners of WACAs Community Awards 2024 are -


Arts Award - Amma Gyan

Amma has hugely contributed towards the artistic community by transforming a 162 year old chapel, to create a space that nurtures creativity.


Friends of WACA Award - Linda Haye

Linda has been a champion of WACA for many years. She has consistently promoted, donated, regularly helped with obtaining funding and engaged with members frequently over the years.


Innovation Award - Alex Williams

Alex is the host of the Dial Up open mic sessions and the What's On Watford podcast and a passionate champion of LGBT, diversity and inclusivity across the arts.


Rising Star Award - Ali-Mai Joseph

Ali-Mai is a multi-talented beacon of inspiration in leadership, community service and cultural advocacy.


Lifetime Achievement Award - Angela Wells 

After spending her working life helping others, Angela continues to avidly support WACA in a range of creative ways.


We would also like to thank those who took the time to make the nominations.
