Please join us on Tuesday 22 October at 6.30pm to listen to a lively interactive talk by Tracy Hughes from the Stroke Association, who will discuss insights into strokes, the causes and symptoms, prevention and rehabilitation of stroke survivors.

We know that a stroke happens when the blood supply to part of the brain is cut off, which can affect how the body works.  Studies show that if you are of African Caribbean origin and at higher risk of experiencing a stroke than other people in the UK. The effect of a stroke depends on where it takes place in the brain and how big the damaged area is.  We also know much of the above is preventable. Why should I attend?you are twice as likely to have a stroke at a younger age

Come along if you can, to find out more, ask questions and hear successful stories from survivors. We look forward to seeing you there.
